Tyler has had a long day today! After five amazing days at home, we left the house at 7AM, went to the outpatient clinic, then to OR, and finally to his new room on the floor.
Tyler had a Hickman catheter surgically placed, and another lumbar puncture. A Hickman is a central line placed into one of the veins leading into his heart. He will now receive all his chemo and blood products through this line.
Tyler’s sore and a little loopy from morphine, but otherwise is settling back into the Unit well. His chemo will start back up in the next few hours. This room has less storage and no fridge (we were so spoiled before!), but this will help us not to store up so much stuff that only has to be moved later on!
Please pray for Ron, who got knocked flat by a severe respiratory infection on Tuesday night. He won’t get to see Tyler for a few days.
