Ron and I can’t wipe the smiles off our faces today! Tyler’s CO2 gases held in the acceptable range all day long despite being weaned several times. He tolerated some deep suctioning this afternoon with good results. His kidneys are plugging along off dialysis although they still need the help of Lasix. His new rash is getting worse – tomorrow he will get a skin biopsy to see if they can figure out the source. Also tomorrow he will have a bone marrow aspirate to check on the initial success of his bone marrow transplant. Usually they do this 30 days post transplant, and Tyler is on day 34.

I asked his oncologist today how he explains Tyler’s sudden surge over the past 24 hours after the downward spiral he seemed to be on. He said they really don’t know. That backs our unshakable belief that it was the power of prayer that pulled him up once again!
