Other than the reality of grief, there’s another reality I’ve been living with for nearly two years now: a vision is more easily perfected in your mind than it is implemented.

I’ve mentioned before that wonderful friends purchased several web domains shortly after Tyler’s death. Tyler’s illness somehow launched an amazing movement of God that has only gathered momentum since his death. The idea of a website perpetuating that movement resonated deeply with Ron and me.

Being ever aware that many stories have not yet been told, Ron and I have felt increasingly compelled to create a site that functions as more than a blog. How could we accurately capture how life, after life, after life was touched? How could we create a forum for others to share good memories, healed hurts, new faith, found purpose, renewed zeal?

We wanted to ensure that stories of faith, struggle, humor and victory not only get told, but that they cast as wide a net as possible.

After many attempts at a do-it-yourself website, neither we nor our friends could quite make the vision become reality. To make this kind of vision work, we would need professional support for development and design. After much technical assistance (and patience) from Greg Myers of www.fastandfriendlywebsites.com, today we lovingly launch www.LiveLikeTyler.com.

We thank our friends who created such a fitting name for Tyler’s website. LiveLikeTyler.org, LoveLikeTyler.org and LoveLikeTyler.com are other addresses that will lead to this site.

For those who have followed us here from CaringBridge, the entire CaringBridge journal has been transferred to Live Like Tyler. That site will remain, as Ron and I still draw much comfort from your many Guestbook comments dating back to September 2011, but I will be making no new journal entries there.

Excerpt from the About page: Tyler’s courageous fight over nearly seven months inspired thousands. His humor, faith, and determination changed lives. This website is a tribute to a young boy’s life, ended on March 29, 2012, at the age of 15 years and 5 months. It is a forum for strangers and loved ones alike to share Tyler’s impact on their lives. It is a place of hope for those who are currently suffering through a trial or grieving a loss. It is an opportunity for joy to those who choose to live and love like Tyler.

Please comment freely, share freely, and join us in praying that many are touched through this site!
