As of 6pm today, Tyler received an equal number of red blood units as he did yesterday. Staying even isn’t the same as getting better, but it’s better than requiring more units as he had been daily.

Also, the doctors just met and offered us an option to try a drug that is definitely “out of the box,” since it is normally used for hemophiliacs and is not used for Tyler’s kind of diffuse, oozing bleed. It works to clot the blood, and they’re hoping it will stop or slow the bleeding in his stomach without causing other clots in his body.

He has a clot above his left arm and many clots in his kidneys right now. If these show signs of getting worse, they will have to stop the treatment. Tyler spent the day more sedated since he seems more uncomfortable now. Folks are praying so ardently, and we can’t thank you enough! I believe Tyler will pull through this crisis!
