Tyler’s donor cells will be arriving on a later flight and won’t be here until after 9:30 PM.  The Hopkins lab then needs about two hours to remove the red cells.  So the earliest it will arrive in his room is about 11:30 tonight.  The transfusion itself will take up to 4 hours.  For the first 1-2 hours, staff will be in his room with us and will take vitals every 15 minutes to make sure he isn’t having a reaction to the cells.  That’s all we know at this point, and I’m sure the timing is subject to change!
