As it ended up, there is only one option that can be implemented quickly enough to save Tyler from his current crisis. He is decompensating before our eyes – bleeding so quickly that he’s on the highest doses of pressors to keep his blood pressure from bottoming out. There isn’t much wiggle room at this point.
Tyler will receive Factor VII – an adult dose every 2 hours for 24 hours. The risk for a stroke or fatal clot with these levels of Factor VII is very high. It’s hard to know what to ask as far as prayer goes other than I just want him to be OK! Both Ron and I implicitly trust the Lord with our son – He is in control!
