Tyler had a pretty bad gastric bleed today, so they ended up taking him off the defibrotide (which causes bleeding) and keeping him at a Delta p of 58. The bleeding is either from an ulcer or gastritis, likely due to all the steroids he’s taking. One more thing for his poor body to heal from!
On the good news front, initial reports are back from Tyler’s bone marrow aspirate regarding his leukemia. He remains in complete remission, and his FLT3-ITD marker remains negative! We still anxiously await the results which will show how successful his transplant has been so far.
